Customer Service Parts Department Supervisor

Job Description Overview

Customer Service Parts Department Supervisor’s responsibilities include effectively communicating with customers, both, internal and external. Leading the Quoting, Utility and Order Entry Specialist’s. This position reports to the Customer Service Manager.

Responsibilities

The following activities are required in this position:

  • Locate drawings and reference information using computer and paper files
  • Use Visual Estimating window and accurately enter parts/service to be quoted
  • Ability to qualify the customer’s request and determine the proper part needed to fix issue, consulting with technical support and engineering when necessary
  • Maintain a positive attitude when dealing with difficult customers
  • Mange/update Parts Order Entry SOP as changes happen and document accordingly
  • Manage/update Quoting SOP as changes happen and document accordingly
  • Manage/update current Price List for all KMC Global Product Lines and documenting accordingly
  • Simple releasable part quotes need to be completed within 24 hours of receipt
  • Orange and Red Dot Quotes need to be completed before EOB the day received
  • Work with Team members to ensure Communication with Customer is current, to provide steady updates pertaining to quotes and orders
  • Proper disposal and handling of Proprietary documents
  • Travel at times in an effort to build Product Knowledge as necessary
  • Answer Phone calls immediately – Assist with phone support for Service Representatives that are absent, or pre-disposed
  • Qualify quote requests for accurate descriptions and customer information – to include Bill to Ship to and Job Number
  • Perform Annual Reviews for Quoting, Order Entry and Utility Personnel
  • Development and Management of Metrics to measure department efficiencies/performance

Applications Engineer

Job Description Overview

Applications Engineers are responsible for the preparation of Sales drawings, equipment costing, quotations, order entry and other documentation in support of sales efforts.  Duties include coordinating with Sales and Engineering from Customer inquiry until the final equipment purchase order is prepared for engineering.  This is a visible position within the Company, suppliers and to our customers. Solid communication skills are required due to the combined Sales and Engineering nature of this position. Reports to the Director of PRAB Sales & Marketing and may infrequently be called upon to supervise the work of others, depending on project size & workload.

Qualifications

  • Associates of Applied Science in Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3-D experience is a plus.

Shipping and Receiving

Job Description Overview

The Shipping and Receiving position is responsible for loading and unloading inbound and outbound products and material. Once unloaded, inbound materials are to be transferred to a suitable holding area in a safe and orderly manner, and packing slips taken directly to the proper person (i.e. crib attendant). Outbound freight is to be skidded and/or packaged in a conscientious manner using a packing list or other written information provided.

Painter

Job Description Overview

The Painter position is responsible for the final quality check prior to the application of paint, maintain inventory levels on all standard paints and supplies, and must have the skill-set to apply high quality painted surface on all KMC Global product lines. The high quality painted surface must be achieved when using enamel, epoxy, or on occasion polane and water based paints.

Field Service Technician

Job Description Overview

Field Service Technicians are responsible for the service of PRAB, Inc. products at Customer locations. They perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations, modifications and equipment start-ups provide training and re-training in the use of PRAB, Inc. equipment. This position reports to the Customer Service Manager.

General Responsibilities

  • Service PRAB & Hapman products at Customer locations
  • Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations, modifications and equipment start-ups as required by customers
  • Provide training and re-training in the use of PRAB & Hapman equipment at customer locations
  • Provide phone service and troubleshooting support from home office
  • Provide sales leads to Sales Department
  • Determine parts required for in field repairs
  • Co-ordination of service trips including travel plans
  • Accurately communicate and discuss problems with customers
  • Document all aspects of Service work performed

Qualifications

Database Analyst

Job Description Overview

The Data Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of company report creation, execution and administration. The Data Analyst will also perform SQL database management, administration and maintenance tasks as necessary for the successful operation of company databases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

Job Description Overview

The Fabricator position is responsible for the quality of work, productivity, attendance/punctuality, safety, flexibility, working without supervision, and general housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • The ability to perform high quality welds in all positions (vertical up, down, flat and overhead) typically required in fabricating PRAB machinery
  • The ability to perform high quality welds on stainless steel and other alloys such as cast iron, nickel and manganese steels is required
  • Will have the skill-set to perform the following welds: TIG (Primary), MIG and ARC
  • Will have the skill-set to perform surface finish specifications up to food grade on stainless steel surfaces (including food grade welding and polishing)

The Pre-Wire position is responsible for forming conduit, wiring, labeling, and debugging conveying equipment. Duties will include some control panel assembly. This position reports to the Fabrication Manager and will work closely with the Controls Engineering group. Responsibilities also include quality of workmanship, productivity, attendance/punctuality, safety, flexibility, working without supervision, and general housekeeping.

Qualifications

  • Experience forming conduit, wiring, labeling, and debugging conveying equipment.
  • Experience building control panels a plus.
